Henry Cobbinah

Henry Cobbinah is an accomplished geologist with over 15 years of experience in various aspects of geological engineering, resource modelling, and mine operations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, and a certificate in Project Management from the University of California, Berkeley.

Throughout his career, Henry has worked across several West African countries, including Ghana, Guinea, Senegal, and Sierra Leone, contributing to projects focused on gold and iron ore exploration and extraction. His expertise spans resource modelling and evaluation, grade control practices, mine-to-mill reconciliation, geological supervision, and reporting. He has extensive hands-on experience with geological software such as Datamine Studio RM, Leapfrog Geo, and Geovia Surpac.

In his role as Senior Production Geologist at Asante Gold Corporation, Henry oversees geological mapping, ore delineation, and production reconciliation processes. He has also held senior geological roles with Bassari Resources, Nordgold, and African Minerals, where he led teams, managed exploration projects, and contributed to operational efficiencies in both open-pit and underground mining environments. A member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), Henry is proficient in both English and French and is known for his adaptability in remote and challenging work environments.

His career is marked by strong leadership in project management, technical expertise in geological software, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence in the mining industry.
