El Hadji Makha Sankharé

El Hadji Makha Sankharé is a highly experienced Senior Geological Engineer from Senegal, he holds a degree in Geological Engineering from the Institut des Sciences de la Terre (2009) and has extensive expertise in project management, exploration, and mining operations. His skills are enhanced by certifications in project management, geographic information systems (GIS), and advanced English language proficiency acquired from institutions such as the University of Queensland.

Makha has a rich professional background that spans over a decade, with key roles in mineral exploration and mining, particularly in the extraction of gold, phosphate, and iron. He has served as a Senior Geologist for companies like Birima Gold Resources and BMCC SA, contributing to exploration and feasibility studies for large-scale mining operations. His roles involved the supervision of drilling operations, geotechnical studies, and geological mapping, and he has played a pivotal part in the discovery and development of significant mineral resources such as the Gadd Bissik phosphate deposit.

Makha’s technical proficiency includes mastery of software such as ArcGIS, MapInfo Discover, AutoCAD, and Surpac for geological modelling and mapping. His international experience covers geological missions in countries like Australia, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Guinea, where he was instrumental in several Joint Venture mining projects.

In addition to his technical skills, he has demonstrated leadership in training geologists and technicians and managing mining data. Makha is fluent in both French and English, enjoys sports like football and taekwondo, and is an active member of the Amicale des Ingénieurs Géologues de L’IST (AIGIST).
