Vision
HSG emphasises the Positive Impact across ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) issues, with particular attention to the “S” or Social component. This is because we view the “E,” or Environmental aspect, as something that should naturally be intertwined with our overall sustainability approach. In recent times, ESG initiatives have become more transactional, as there’s a common belief that prioritising the Environment automatically leads to positive Social impact.
At HSG, we argue that this perspective can lead to a diminished Social Impact and often a missed opportunity, and we believe that Environmental achievements should rather be a by-product of initiatives led by social impact.
